  • Greatest Hero 25 Pack

    $4.47

Have you ever noticed how often books and movies tell stories about heroes who defeat evil and save the world?

Think about Superman. He comes into the world as a baby, and when he grows up, although he looks like a normal human, he uses all his power to rid the world of evil.

Think about Anna from Frozen. She sacrifices her own life?even for people who don’t deserve it. As a result, her love brings the warmth of life to a frozen world.

And think about Frodo from The Lord of the Rings. He left his home to go on an adventure, and in great weakness carries the burden of evil, even if it kills him. Why? To save the world.

It’s like we humans write these stories because deep down, we all know what we really need. The human race needs someone?to help us, love us, and rescue us.

    Someone like Jesus.

Really? “Someone like Jesus”? How do superheroes point to Jesus?

The Bible teaches that Jesus came to earth to clean up and conquer the evil that had spread throughout the world and corrupted human life.

Don’t just take my word for it. You should meet Jesus by listening to his own words. But prepare yourself: He made some pretty intense statements.

Jesus declared he could give people true life (John 5:21-29; 6:35). Jesus told people that he could forgive sins (Mark 2:1-12; Luke 7:48-49). And Jesus even claimed to have the authority of God (Matthew 28:18; John 17:2).

What kind of person would make these kinds of huge claims?

According to C. S. Lewis (author of The Chronicles of Narnia), you’ve basically got three options.

    Option 1: Jesus Is Lying

Think about the strong statements that Jesus made about himself. Anyone could say that he had all authority. Anyone could just tell people that he could give them true life or forgiveness. But he’d be lying.

Yet Jesus did more than merely talk. He calmed storms?something only God can do (Mark 4:35-41). He healed people that no one else could help (Mark 5:1-20). And he raised people from the dead (Mark 5:21-43). Jesus proved his words with his actions! So Option 1 isn’t really an option.

    Option 2: Jesus Is Insane

Some people might say that Jesus wasn’t lying but that he went around making wild statements. The world is full of crazy people. What if Jesus meant well but was actually out of his mind?

But Jesus did more than make incredible statements about who he was. He also gave lots of brilliant teaching (Matthew 5-7; 10; 13; 18; 23-25). People were amazed by what he taught

  • Hell Empty Heaven Full

    $16.99

Every day, millions of people who don’t know Jesus Christ as their Savior move farther down the dark road to destruction. But as international evangelist Reinhard Bonnke says, hell was never designed for people, and heaven is expecting them! Tens of millions of people have come to know Christ through Reinhard’s ministry. In this book, he shares his contagious passion for bringing the gospel to the lost.

Each chapter in Hell Empty, Heaven Full discusses biblical stories that highlight how God’s priority is saving people and how He wants us to join Him in that process. As Reinhard says, “Our calling is to put a kind hand on the shoulder of the world and turn it round to see God. It will adore Him. The Lord is the Savior…. He loves because to love gives Him joy. He loves beyond all the parameters of human affection and makes even the assault of the cross an expression of His love. His pain asserts it. He finds satisfaction in giving, pouring Himself out to us, surrounding us with wonders, making His redeemed the garden of delight in which He walks. To proclaim the gospel is to move for Him, act with Him, love in Him, and delight in His joy as the privilege, meaning and purpose of all life.”

Filled with vivid illustrations, this book is designed to show you how to reach the lost as Jesus did: with the passion and compassion of the heavenly Father.

  • If That Changes Everything

    $14.99

There are some things which, if they are true, change everything.

If Jesus rose from the dead, it would transform what we think of God and how we see ourselves. We could make sense of some of the deepest mysteries of our existence and enjoy real hope in our everyday lives.

But can a rational person actually believe that Jesus rose from the dead?

Mike Hood wants to show you that you can. In this short, personable book, he addresses questions like…

*why do any of us believe what we believe about life after death?
*what makes us hesitate to change our view of Jesus or God?
*what historical evidence is there for the resurrection?
*what will it mean for our lives now if there is life after death?

Bringing together thoughtful examination of the evidence and real-life stories from people who have come to believe in Jesus’ resurrection, The If That Changes Everything shows how Christianity fits into and makes sense of our deepest questions and desires. Readers will be encouraged to see that faith in Jesus is both reasonable and life-changing in the best way.

  • Legend Of The Candy Cane 25 Pack

    $4.25

Long ago there were two villages in a distant land. One was in a valley, and one was on a mountaintop. The people in the mountain village wanted to give each person in the valley a Christmas gift.

So the mountain townspeople formed a committee to think of something special. Money was limited, and each gift had to be of equal value to each person. After much time and discussion a decision was finally reached. The town’s candymaker, an elderly gentleman who had loved Jesus for many years, came up with an idea–the candy cane.

Now, you may be thinking, what is so special about a candy cane–and how can it ever be tied in with the real meaning of Christmas? Continue reading to find out how and why!

    1. The candy cane is in the shape of a shepherd’s staff. Jesus is our Shepherd, and we are his flock. A sheep follows his own shepherd, knows his voice, trusts him, and knows that he is totally safe with him. The sheep will follow no other shepherd than their own. In the same way, if we belong to Jesus, we are to follow only him. (John 10:11; Psalm 23:1; Isaiah 40:11)

    2. The candy cane has a “J” shape–the first letter of Jesus’s name. In the Bible, an angel came to Mary, the mother of Jesus, and said, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus” (Luke 1:30-31).

    3. The wide red stripes on the candy cane represent the blood Jesus shed on the cross for each one of us so that we can have eternal life through him. He restores us and cleans us with his shed blood–the only thing that can wash away our sin (Ephesians 2:13).

    4. The white stripes on the candy cane represent Jesus’s virgin birth and his pure, sinless life. He is the only human being who never committed a single sin, even though he was tempted just as we are. “He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth” (1 Peter 2:22).

    5. The narrow red stripes on candy canes symbolize Jesus’s stripes, or scars, which he got when he was arrested and whipped. The Bible says we are healed (of sin) because he took those wounds (Isaiah 53:5; 1 Peter 2:24).

    6. The flavoring in the candy cane is peppermint, which is similar to hyssop. Hyssop is of the mint family and was used in Old Testament times for purification and sacrifice (John 19:29; Psalm 51:7).

    7. Candy canes are made of hard candy to remind us that Christ is the “rock” of our salvation. “He [Christ] alone is my rock and

  • Mere Evangelism : 10 Insights From C.S. Lewis To Help You Share Your Faith

    $16.99

Evangelism is an extraordinary task; it’s what God uses to bring people from death to life. But it has always been difficult.

C.S. Lewis was used by God in the conversions of countless people, from friends and acquaintances in his own lifetime to modern-day readers of books such as The Chronicles of Narnia and Mere Christianity (the most influential Christian book of the 20th century). As Tim Keller comments, “C.S. Lewis was incredibly skilled at getting Christianity across in a way that’s powerful to thoughtful people. So, if we want help with evangelism, there is much we can learn from the clarity and imagination of this hugely influential Christian writer.

You may feel inadequate to the task; after all, there is only one C.S. Lewis. But evangelist Randy Newman skillfully helps us to apply the methods Lewis used (storytelling, humor, imagery and more) in our own conversations.

You will be equipped to talk about your faith and engage with unbelievers wisely, whatever their attitude towards the Christian faith.

  • Missing Peace : How Christmas Brings The Calm We Crave

If Christmas brings “peace on earth,” why are our lives and world so full of difficulty?

“Peace on earth” is a crucial part of the Christmas message and a reality we’d all love to experience. But when we look around or listen to the news, it seems like an empty promise. Our world is not at peace, and often our lives and relationships are not peaceful either.

In this short, warm, and down-to-earth book, author and evangelist Sam Chan considers the question of peace. Through relatable storytelling and engaging insights into the Christian faith and Christmas story, Chan shows us how peace is possible despite the harsh realities of life in this world.

The Missing Peace is meant to be shared. Give copies away at Christmas services, church events, or to family and friends who aren’t following Jesus. Christians will also enjoy this simple reminder that Jesus brings the peace we’re all looking for.

  • Morning Has Come 10 Pack

    $4.47

When I was a teenager, I experienced my first struggles with insomnia. I would lie in bed for hours without being able to drift off to sleep. As the clock ticked on, I became anxious; would I get any rest? Something about the deep hours of the night is unsettling: black darkness all around, stiff silence, the feeling life itself has become frozen. In those moments, it is easy to wonder: Will the morning ever come?

Mornings feel precious, don’t they? We might say we aren’t a “morning person,” but we still eagerly look out the window when the warm light starts streaming in. When faced with a big decision, we often say, “I’ll sleep on it,” or “I’ll think about this in the morning.” Why do we talk and act as if the arrival of a new sunrise is somehow powerful? As if it can somehow purify or help us?

The Bible says that when God created the whole world, the very first thing he said was, “Let there be light” (Genesis 1:3). Into the darkness, God spoke the very first morning. The world’s first morning was perfect. Its light was pure and unpolluted. It announced a day without sorrow, without death, without regret. In the beginning, absolutely everything was “very good” (Genesis 1:31).

Maybe that’s one reason that we feel the way we do about mornings. The first light of a new day almost promises to wash away the anxieties, disappointments, and regrets of the past. A night of sleepless suffering melts before the sunbeams. Dawn seems to offer a second chance as the day begins again. Everything seems very good.

And yet, this feeling of new hope doesn’t last forever, does it? With a new day comes not just a new beginning, but the same old fears and failures from yesterday. Have you ever started a day determined to make it better than yesterday, only to feel helpless just hours later as the habits you vowed to kick come back or the promises you wanted to keep break like glass? The day that started very good goes back to being the same struggle you remember.

The Bible has an explanation for that too. Even though the world and human beings were very good when God created them, something happened. The Creator God gave his human creations a magnificent responsibility: to love and obey him in a perfect paradise and to extend God’s reign over all the universe as his prized image bearers. But the humans he created chose something different. They rejected his rules and their responsibility. They tried to find joy and wisdom apart from God. When they did this, so

  • Multiply : Disciples Making Disciples

    $14.99

Jesus Christ handpicked common, uneducated men to build His church (Acts 4:13). Several were fishermen. One was a tax collector. All of them could be labeled “ordinary.” Yet under their leadership, the church flourished while the world stood amazed.

Today, the church looks to “trained professionals” to do the work. Lay people who have tremendous potential are made to feel inadequate by the religious elite. Many are paralyzed, believing that they “don’t know enough” to be of much help. So they sit silently in church services and watch the educated minister. This was never God’s intention.

Too many Christians are intimidated by the thought of speaking to others about Jesus. Most feel like they don’t know enough to lead others. This material is designed to change that.

  • Never Ashamed : Stories Of Sharing Faith With Scoffers And Skeptics

    $14.99

Most books on evangelism deal primarily with different approaches to sharing the good news. From street ministry to personal witnessing, books abound on how to present the gospel in a variety of ways and situations.

But Never Ashamed isn’t a book about how. Rather, it’s a book about why. Author Avi Snyder explains:

*Why we mustn’t be ashamed of sharing the good news in an open and direct fashion.

*Why believers find it difficult to share the good news of salvation, despite the variety of fruit that always abounds.

*Why non-believers often choose to walk away from the claims of the Messiah, even when they know or at least suspect in their hearts that His claims are true.

*Why the early church felt compelled to proclaim His message, regardless of the risks and costs.

More than this, however, Never Ashamed is a book of stories:

*The man who told Avi he wouldn’t stop him from jumping out a window.

*The Marxist lady trying to figure him out who eventually concluded he was a provocateur

*The woman who prayed for God to give her compassion like Him and wept when she received it

*The Soviet guard who helped Avi’s team pass out literature

These and many more encounters that Avi shares will make you laugh, cry, and be filled with joy at the winsome ways in which he brings people to Jesus.

  • Personal Evangelism : 22 Lessons To Effectively Share The Gospel

    $16.00

SOUL WINNING IS OUR BUSINESS! Jesus made it clear that we are to bring others to His Father. He said, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” But many Christians don’t know how to win souls for their Savior. They are too timid to speak out, don’t know what to say, or don’t want to offend anyone. Legendary Bible teacher E. W. Kenyon offers a solution in Personal Evangelism: 22 Lessons to Effectively Share the Gospel. He takes readers through all possible scenarios of reaching the lost, from those who have false hopes to the indifferent, from the skeptical to those who have broken fellowship with the church. “Until soul winning becomes the business of our life, we will not lead many from darkness to light,” Kenyon says. “Soul winning is the art of arts. We are selling the greatest thing in the world. The joy that it gives to the one who finds Christ, the blessings that go into the home, can never be estimated. The man you lead to Christ may become a key man in some community, turning a whole section of men to Christ.” Our time is not our own, but belongs to the Lord. When we evangelize to snatch souls from the hands of the enemy, we give them strength, joy, and success, and obtain more stars in our own heavenly crown.

Discover the awesome God at the heart of the familiar Christmas story and discover the joy, hope, purpose, and belonging we’re all searching for.

Most of us are familiar with the events of the first Christmas-the manger scene, shepherds watching sheep, angels singing their songs, and wise men arriving-but what if there’s more to the story? What if the birth of Jesus is actually the most significant event in all of history and can transform our lives?

  • Serve Your City

    An ARC Resources Title

Through the pages of the Gospels, we see Jesus model a “show and tell” life and ministry to His followers- He “showed” them how to serve by healing the sick, feeding the hungry, and caring for the poor-and while He was demonstrating compassion, He taught them, “telling” them of God’s immense love. This is the way to show God’s heart of compassion for the people in our cities and towns, and this is the way to break down barriers so people will listen to the life-changing message of the gospel of grace. In this book, you’ll sense Dino’s heart, be inspired by his stories and learn from his experiences, as well as many ARC churches that are serving their cities with a Jesus-style no-strings-attached kind of love. This is at the core of who ARC is – a deep passion to see churches thrive as part of the cities they serve.
